Giorgio
Viali, an italian film director, screenplay writer and author of short stories,
was born in Arzignano (Vicenza), on March 11, 1962.
After completing his schooling in Vicenza, he enrolled at university.
He abandoned his studies in 1994.
His first breakthrough came as a director of "A Spotless
Footage", Italy, 2005,
a controversial debut feature.
Since then, he has gone on to direct some Italian Independent
films including "Arrendersi ai sogni", "Basic film"
which was to lead to a career based
on intense experimentation.
He is currently at work on his screenplay, "Sancta Imago". [www.sanctaimago.com]
In spite of his diffucult choice to remain within the crisis-ridden
"independent"
circuit, Viali has choosen non-commercial, "research"-oriented
films.
